On Friday, June 12, 2026, our whole school came together for a wonderful Student-Led Conference, and our Grade 1 learners confidently took the lead. It was a special opportunity for the children to share their learning from the classroom with their parents in a way that was thoughtful, meaningful, and proudly their own.
The Grade 1s did a fantastic job as confident speakers. They showed their work outputs to their parents and explained how they made them, what they learned from them, and why they were important. It was beautiful to see the children speaking so clearly and with such pride about their learning journey.
The learners also demonstrated their understanding by answering questions, solving problems, and working through different challenges. Their parents and grandparents were impressed by how well they could explain their ideas and show what they know. The children even challenged their family members with some tasks, which made the conference even more fun and engaging.
The room was filled with smiles, encouragement, and pride. Parents were delighted to see how much their children had grown, and the children were equally proud of all they had achieved throughout the year. It was a joyful celebration of learning, confidence, and hard work, and a wonderful way to end the year on a high note.
