For nearly three months, our Grade 1 students were fortunate to welcome another teacher into the classroom—our intern from Germany, Mr. Luca.
Mr. Luca was not only present to support the teachers, but more importantly, to guide and assist the students. He consistently demonstrated patience and warmth, thoughtfully responding to the needs of the class. He worked closely with the students to help them better understand key concepts, such as measurement using rulers and tape measures, as well as topics like forces and simple machines.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Luca actively engaged with the students during recess, building positive relationships through play. He also took part in special moments throughout the term, including our class assembly and school-wide events such as Culture Day.
This blog entry is a small way for us to express our sincere gratitude for the time, care, and dedication Mr. Luca shared with our class. We wish him all the very best as he continues his journey toward becoming a professional educator.
